Trained as an artist and an art teacher, Diane works in both traditional and digital media. Her undergraduate work includes photography, drawing, painting, and sculpture. Her bachelor’s degree is in sculpture and art education. Diane’s master’s degree is in clinical counseling/art therapy which has an interesting overlap with brain based reading of two dimensional design which is similar to book illustration. She has taught book design, illustration, and 2D design at high school and community college level. Diane has also take children’s book illustrations classes at the college level, with professional children’s book illustrators, and through SCBWI. She is a life long learner in her work.
